The HYLAS 70, the newest addition to the Hylas family of German Frers designed offshore yachts is offered in both a keel or centerboard option. Both the hull and deck are made of Twaron™ brand Kevlar carbon aramid fiber with alternating glass layup using vinylester resins. This provides a very strong hull with epoxy barrier coats producing optimum protection below the waterline. HYLAS is unique in providing the owner with the option to introduce a variety of interior accommodations features not offered by other manufacturers. The rig options offer Leisure Furl hydraulic in-boom furling or Selden hydraulic in-mast furling. These various features make the Hylas 70 a unique and tremendous value in today's market as a semi-custom built yacht. Seven orders have been signed to date with only hull #1 introduced in 2006.
